The Global Pursuit is a collection of photographs and stories from the journey that started in November 2017 by Pursuit of Portraits (PoP) founder and photographer Saunak Shah across 5 continents and over 21+ countries in 1 year, furthering the mission of Pursuit of Portraits to bring the creative community together by bridging the gap between online and in-person connections, fostering positive relationships, providing a platform and visibility for emerging artists, and sharing stories that empower and influence creatives globally.

From November 2017 through November 2018, Saunak will have spent time in Vietnam, China, Thailand, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Singapore, Spain, Morocco, Portugal, United States, South Africa, Kenya, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, and Cuba, reaching a global network of over 50 million people.

With Instagram or any of the social channels it is so easy to get disconnected and the goal with the global pursuit is to bridge that gap between online to real-time connections. Embracing diversity, exploring different cultures and meeting people in person is important because everyone has a story despite what's trending based on popularity or online influence. As a person of color and an Indian-born living in the United States, it is important for me to positively impact the youth from all walks of life and backgrounds.

With over 150 in attendance, PoP creates a unique experience for hotel guests and the community at large by throwing one of the most amazing meet-ups on a rooftop with pool party vibes for photographers and models alike.

The meet that was facilitated by local creatives was a turning point spotlighting creatives from the LGBT community.
