Pursuit of Portraits finally makes it to Nairobi to host one of the biggest photography meet-ups in Kenya on Sunday, May 20th 2018 and brings together several hundred creatives to create, collaborate and connect. "With Instagram or any of the social channels it is so easy to get disconnected and the goal with the global pursuit is to bridge that gap between online to real-time connections"; says Saunak Shah, Founder of Pursuit of Portraits leading this global mission. He adds, "Embracing diversity and meeting people in person is important because everyone has a story despite what's trending based on popularity or influence".
It was important for PoP to be in Kenya because of the sheer talent, sense of style and creativity we have now experienced first-hand. In just two weeks, #PoPxNAIROBI; the meets official hashtag has seen over 2000+ photos (some shared below in no particular order). PoP has aggregated over 4 Million photos with #PursuitofPortraits in just a few years; an initiative that started as a community effort in New York in 2015 has since become a movement of over thousands of global creatives. PoP is currently in Buenos Aires, Argentina on the final leg of the global pursuit touring South America.
